The power of women coming together can transform communities. This March, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County kicks off its highly anticipated Women Build 2025, uniting women from all walks of life to create lasting change through affordable housing.
More Than Construction
Women Build isn’t just about swinging hammers – it’s a movement that empowers women to take action against housing insecurity in our community. Since 1991, Women Build volunteers nationwide have been breaking barriers and building stronger, safer communities. The program welcomes women of all skill levels, providing training and support throughout the building process.
Meet Rachel: Our 2025 Homeowner
This year’s build will support Rachel Pertelle, a dedicated medical practice assistant at Conway Medical Center and a single mother of three. Currently sharing a small three-bedroom home with her parents, Rachel dreams of providing a stable, healthy environment where her family can thrive. Her journey with Habitat has already shown her determination – she’s mastered hammer skills and embraces every opportunity to learn.
Double Your Impact with CRG Homes
In an extraordinary show of support, CRG Homes has stepped forward with a $20,000 matching gift challenge. This means every dollar donated toward Women Build 2025 will have twice the impact, helping us create more affordable housing opportunities in Horry County.
Join the Movement
The journey begins with our Kick-Off celebration at The Tasting Room on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, where you’ll meet fellow volunteers and learn how you can make a difference. Our first build day is scheduled for March 7, 2025.
