The Booker T. Washington (BTW) neighborhood in Myrtle Beach recently participated in a community impact day. The day was supported by the volunteer efforts of Realty ONE Group Dockside of Myrtle Beach.
A coalition of BTW neighborhood residents has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Horry County to bring their ideas for a more healthy and safe community to life. Through their Neighborhood Revitalization program, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County collaborates with residents who want to enhance the quality of life in their neighborhood.
The Community Impact Day occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2022. As part of this project, residents had the opportunity to upgrade essential accessories to their homes and streets to make the neighborhood feel updated and safer. Such accessories included mailboxes, porch lights, and house numbers.
Realty ONE Group Dockside of Myrtle Beach supported Habitat for Humanity of Horry County and the neighborhood residents during the community impact day. The real estate company, headquartered in Myrtle Beach, is just blocks from BTW.
The real estate company provided volunteer labor, helping to make the important milestone for BTW a reality. At the end of the day, Realty ONE Group Dockside hosted a picnic in Futrell Park to celebrate the day.
Prior to the Community Impact Day, Michael Cole, Broker-in-Charge started, “We are so excited to partner with the community on this project. It has been a mission of Realty ONE Group Dockside for many years to use the talents and resources that God has entrusted to us to give back to the community that has so richly blessed us. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and contribute.”
