Habitat for Humanity of Horry County is excited to continue the corporate partnership with Founders Group International (FGI) for 2024. The golf course management company will continue to partner with Habitat in various capacities, supporting the organization’s mission to provide opportunities for safe, decent, and affordable housing within Horry County.
FGI’s sponsorship includes annual support of $10,000, in-kind support such as lunch donations and golf passes for our volunteers, and over 75 volunteer hours helping build homes for families across the Grand Strand.
“The partnership with FGI has been invaluable to our work in the community,” states Meagan Michal, Executive Director. “When the partnership first started FGI made it clear that they wanted to write a check, but not just that, they truly wanted to partner with us in the work we do for families every day. FGI understands that safe, affordable homeownership not only benefits the homeowner, but it benefits the whole community. FGI’s sponsorship goes beyond philanthropy, and it is an investment into a better Horry County for all.”
As part of the renewed partnership, Founder’s Group International will once again host both of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County’s annual fundraising events in 2024. These events include Derby Day and the Kelsey McGhee Memorial Golf Tournament. This year, both events are planned to be held at Grande Dunes Resort Club.
“Habitat for Humanity does vital work throughout Horry County, and we are delighted to aid them in their mission, beginning with Derby Day,” said Steve Mays, president of Founders Group International. “We are looking forward to this partnership and doing our part to help make the Grand Strand an even better place to call home.”
Founders Group International is Myrtle Beach’s leading golf management company. FGI manages 21 Myrtle Beach area golf courses including TPC Myrtle Beach, Grande Dunes Resort Club and Myrtle Beach National Golf Club, to name a few.
