Hope’s Crossing Neighborhood Complete

Habitat for Humanity of Horry County homebuyers, homeowners, friends, supporters, volunteers, staff, gathered on Saturday, October 21st for a very special celebration and dedication event at Hope’s Crossing in Conway.

The special neighborhood event brought together friends and families who have been a part of the formation and completion of the Hope’s Crossing neighborhood, throughout the years.

The first home built in the Habitat for Humanity of Horry County neighborhood was completed in 2013. Ten years later, in February of 2023, the final home in the neighborhood was completed. Hopes Crossing is now “home” to 23 Habitat families.

This important milestone event celebrated the families of the neighborhood and their accomplishments. The event also provided attendees the opportunity to hear from staff and volunteers who partnered with each of the 23 families, helping them to make their dream of homeownership a reality.

The family-friendly celebration included music, food, and fun! Additionally, a short dedication ceremony was held, bringing together staff, volunteers and homebuyers who’ve all been a part of the Hopes Crossing journey throughout the last 10 years.

Founded in 1990, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County completed the Hopes Crossing neighborhood with the build of home #170.
