Habitat for Humanity of Horry County was founded by a humble group of people at First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach who saw a need and put God’s love into action to meet it.
Those early founding members operated under the idea that they wanted to be known as a church where love makes the difference. That idea became their guiding light as they worked to spread the love of Christ through housing.
First Presbyterian Church still stands by the work of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County as our most faithful supporter. They continue to volunteer and give generously to see a world where everyone has a safe, decent place to call home.
