Veterans in Horry County Are Waiting for Help
Across Horry County, veterans who sacrificed for our freedom are living in homes that are no longer safe. Aging roofs let in the rain. Broken steps become fall hazards. Failing HVAC systems make hot South Carolina summers dangerous. Many of these veterans are elderly, disabled, or on fixed incomes — unable to afford the repairs their homes desperately need.
The phones at Habitat for Humanity of Horry County are ringing. Veterans and their families are reaching out, asking for help. And right now, we do not have enough resources to serve everyone who needs us. That is why we are asking for your support today.
