Habitat for Humanity of Horry County Hosting Annual Derby Day Fundraising Event at Grande Dunes Resort Club
Derby Day is back at Grande Dunes Resort Club! This signature event is planned for May 4, 2024 – the day of the Kentucky Derby. Derby Day is held in partnership with Coastal Carolina Sertoma Club.
This year’s triple crown sponsor is Anderson Brothers Bank. WMBF News will serve as the primary media partner again this year.
Beginning at 5:00pm and ending at 8:00pm, Derby Day will feature a broadcast of the Kentucky Derby main event, special appearances by WMBF team members, a best-dressed contest, silent auction and more.
The majority of the proceeds from the event will support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, helping to build a home in partnership with a local family. Remaining proceeds will support Coastal Carolina Sertoma’s Christmas shopping initiative, Walmart for Kids.
