Habitat for Humanity of Horry County joins 39th Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project via new “Rural Rally”
This fall, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County will take part in Habitat for Humanity International’s first-ever Rural Rally. The initiative will highlight the need for affordable housing in rural America and will be included as part of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
Why build with us at Rural Rally?
Because every nail driven, every wall raised, and every dollar contributed lays the foundation for a world where everyone can lay their heads down in a place called “home. “Your contributions will not just build homes but also build futures.
This is only possible because of local heroes like you. All over the nation during The Carter Work Project, service-minded leaders are showing up to donate not just their time but also essential building materials and supplies. This is community collaboration and team-driven service at its peak.

Volunteer
You can volunteer to build or repair homes on the build site. Many volunteers have no construction experience, as skilled leaders are on-site to teach and guide everyone. This includes local volunteers and those who travel to the project site.
Donate
Financial contributions are crucial for the success of any Habitat project. You can make a monetary donation to support the work, whether it's for building materials, land purchases, or administrative costs.
Sponsor
Companies, organizations, and individuals can become sponsors of the event. Sponsorships provide significant funding and often come with benefits, such as brand visibility and exclusive opportunities for employees or members to volunteer on the build site.
Advocate
You can support the Carter Work Project and the mission of Habitat for Humanity by using your voice. This can involve raising awareness on social media, writing to elected officials to support affordable housing policies, or simply sharing information about the project with your friends and family.
