About Haley
Haley is a proud native of Myrtle Beach and Horry County. She joined the Habitat homebuyer program in the Spring of 2021. Haley is a successful restaurant manager.
Haley decided to apply to the homebuyer program so that she could finally have something to call her own.
“Becoming a homeowner will affect me because I feel like I will grow in a good way. For example, I’ll be able to take care of my household by myself and manage my finances better.” Haley says. “What I’m looking forward to the most is having my house keys placed in my hands and staying the first night in my home.”
Family is very important to Haley. While she lost her father in 2020 and her mother has experienced some health setbacks, she notes her mother’s recent health improvements. She can’t wait to spend quality time with her mother in her new home, especially on holidays and special occasions.
So far, Haley has learned how important it is to set budgets, stay consistent and stay committed. She’s even learned how to use a drill, which is sure to come in handy when she becomes a homeowner.
To Haley, “home” is something to call her own – something she’ll know that she’s worked hard to obtain.
