Community members invited to shop, connect, and support affordable homeownership

On March 12, the Habitat for Humanity of Horry County ReStore Night Market returns — this time at our North Myrtle Beach ReStore location — bringing together shopping, creativity, music, and community impact in one unforgettable evening.

An Evening of Creativity and Community

A highlight of the night will be the Design-a-Dorm Challenge, featuring student teams from Coastal Carolina University’s Sustain Coastal program competing alongside Alfred State University. Using items sourced directly from the ReStore, each team will design and fully furnish a dorm room setup.

Guests will have the opportunity to view the completed spaces and bid on their favorite fully styled room. Proceeds from the auction directly support Habitat’s homebuilding efforts in Horry County.

The competition will be judged by local Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski.

More Than Shopping

In addition to the design challenge, attendees can enjoy:

  • A meet and greet with thrift influencer Candy Thrift and curated finds from Candy’s Corner
  • Mystery thrift grab bags
  • Live music by Owen Boone
  • Food from Daisy’s Dogs and Pass the Pudding dessert truck
  • A free Lowe’s Build & Create Kids Corner (while supplies last)

The Night Market offers families, students and community members an opportunity to gather, enjoy local entertainment and discover affordable home furnishings — all while supporting a meaningful cause.

How ReStore Supports Affordable Housing

Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor and building materials at discounted prices.

Revenue generated through ReStore sales helps fund Habitat for Humanity of Horry County’s homeownership program, allowing local families to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

Every purchase made at the Night Market directly supports Habitat’s work to expand access to affordable housing across the county.
