Habitat for Humanity of Horry County Supporters,
As we continue to navigate the current coronavirus pandemic, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County has seen the economic impact it is having on Habitat partner families and homeowners within our local community.
Through our commitment to our mission and our supporters is unwavering, our ability to fulfill our mission during these times has certainly been challenging. With the urgent and daily reminders to stay home and take shelter, many families do not have the safety and security of such a place of retreat and protection from coronavirus.
That’s why we recently created the HFHHC SAFE SHELTER FUND. The areas most largely impacted by recent events are local Habitat families and the organization’s current construction efforts. HFHHC knows that some Habitat homeowners and families have or will be experiencing some financial strains. And, with limited volunteer involvement during this time, the staff needs even more assistance to keep current projects on track for completion.
The HFHHC SAFE SHELTER FUND will help our mission in the following ways:
- Assist Habitat homeowners to continue to make their mortgage payments – mortgages they worked so hard to obtain.
- Help partner families currently working through the program, remain in the program.
- Ensure our construction team continues to build homes for our deserving families. With limited volunteer involvement during this time, our staff needs even more assistance to keep our current projects on track for completion.
We understand that you may not be able to give right now. We further understand that your largest contribution will come from your prayers of support and encouragement for our mission. Your continued support of our mission – whatever that support looks like during this time – is deeply appreciated.
Be well and God Bless!
