New Habitat homeowner, Kimberly, is originally from Matthews, NC and is the proud mother of 6-year old son, Tanner.
Kimberly joined the Homebuyer Program to become financially stable and finally have a place to call home. She says that she was tired of paying rent for a home that she could not call her own. Now, her hard-earned money will go towards her very own house. Being in the program has taught her valuable skills that have helped her to focus on her goal of homeownership.
It’s exciting for Kimberly to know that Tanner will now have a place to grow up and know that it’s their own. The first thing she plans to do in her new home is paint her new walls and hang family photos.
Kimberly’s advice to others that may want to apply for the program is to always keep pushing forward. “All of this hard work will not only make me stronger but will show my son the value of hard work,” says Kimberly.
